The University, Community, Leaders, and Individuals with Disabilities (UCLID) Center is an interdisciplinary leadership training program in developmental disabilities affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Our Team includes faculty from the University, representatives from community agencies which provide services for individuals with developmental disabilities, civic leaders, parents of children with disabilities, and self-advocates. The UCLID Center is one of 35 Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Programs in 29 states.

The UCLID Center has several exciting Training Opportunities available to students enrolled in advanced graduate programs in health care, education, public health, and social services. Funding is available for those students who qualify. Parents, advocates and community professionals are welcome to participate in UCLID seminars, the interdisciplinary clinical program, and research and community practicums.

Families, caregivers, and advocates can find resources and services in western PA, eastern OH or northern WV by visiting the Resource Center and Helpful Links.

The UCLID Center is generously supported by the Department of Health and Human Services, Maternal and Child Health Bureau LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) Grant.
