Early Hearing Detection & Intervention (onli-EHDI)

William I. Cohen MD and Heidi M. Feldman MD PhD were awarded a grant from the Pennsylvania Chapter American Academy of Pediatrics to develop an online training regarding Early Hearing Detection & Intervention (onli-EHDI). The distinctive features of this case-based program are as follows:

  1. Primary care clinicians will be offered the opportunity to take the training when a child in their practice does not pass the newborn hearing screening. This is continuing education when you need it.
  2. Participants can earn 2 hours of free continuing education.
  3. Resources in PA remain available to participate.
  4. The case-based education concerns children whose issues maybe encounter in primary care.
  5. Each case also includes information on family-centered practice and cultural competence.
